3 Poèmes de Jaccottet - voice and piano (8')
Poetry by Phillippe Jaccottet

included on a recording of Susan Botti's music, listen, it's snowing (CRI 802)
Poetry which captures emotions and characters in words is an inspiration to me in my work as both composer and performer. My goal is not simply to underscore the poetry, but to surround it in an evocative world, bringing out it's myriad possibilities.
Philippe Jaccottet's poetry is powerful in its profound simplicity. He expresses complex emotional worlds with the purest of gestures.
